North Shore Fall Color
Peak maple color, Lake Superior and shifting fall weather—with a small group built to move with the season.
THE EXPERIENCE
Color is strongest when it has structure.
We will use shoreline, rock, mist and forest layers to give autumn color shape instead of treating every bright grove as a finished photograph. The route shifts with elevation and where color is actually peaking.
The small group lets us leave an underperforming location, return when fog or light improves and spend time refining both grand scenes and intimate forest frames.

Maple ridges, shoreline color and layered overlooks.
Locations remain flexible so the group can follow peak color, weather and the strongest available light.
Peak color and fog are natural conditions; the route follows the best available elevation and timing.

A FLEXIBLE THREE-DAY PLAN
Built around peak color, weather and light.
Day 1 · Find the color line
Sunrise orientation, elevation scouting, forest composition and an evening Lake Superior session.
Day 2 · Follow the strongest conditions
Pre-dawn departure, ridge or shoreline color, midday review and a sunset chosen around weather.
Day 3 · Refine and finish
Return to the best opportunity, individual coaching and a final field session.

I work beside you in the field, demonstrate how I read the light, and give specific feedback on composition, exposure, focal length and the frame you are building. With only four participants, instruction can respond to your experience, questions and the color in front of us.

A $280 deposit reserves your place. The remaining $815 balance is due July 26, 2027. This workshop is limited to four photographers and will operate with a minimum of two paid participants.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Know what to expect.
Is peak color guaranteed?
No. Color timing varies with elevation, temperature and weather. The route shifts to use the strongest available conditions.
How demanding is the workshop?
Expect early starts, uneven roots and rock, short to moderate approaches and long periods outdoors.
Will we photograph Split Rock Lighthouse?
Possibly, when light, color and crowd conditions support the photograph. No single location is guaranteed.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 60 days before the workshop, your deposit may be transferred once to another 2BPhotographyMN tour taking place within 18 months. Within 60 days, all payments are nonrefundable. If 2BPhotographyMN cancels or the two-participant minimum is not reached, all payments are refunded.
