THE EXPERIENCE
Scale changes the way you compose.
The Northern Range and Beartooth country reward photographers who can move between vast weather, layered valleys and small subjects within the land. We will work deliberately instead of racing from icon to icon.
Field decisions will respond to access, safe wildlife viewing and mountain weather, with room to change focal length, viewpoint and visual scale as conditions develop.

Mountain weather, layered valleys and wildlife in context.
Exact locations remain flexible so the group can respond to access, permits, wildlife activity and the strongest available conditions.
Wildlife sightings, specific roads and high-elevation access are opportunities rather than guarantees. Yellowstone is not part of the advertised route.

A FLEXIBLE FOUR-DAY PLAN
Built around access, weather and wildlife.
Day 1 · Establish scale
Orientation, valley layers, long-lens decisions and an evening field session.
Day 2 · Follow the strongest conditions
Pre-dawn departure, wildlife-in-landscape opportunities and a high-country or valley sunset.
Day 3 · Refine the story
Return to the best accessible opportunity, individual coaching and a focused field session.
Day 4 · Respond and finish
Use the final day for the strongest accessible conditions, individual coaching and a deliberate closing field session.

I work beside you in the field, demonstrate how I read the light, and give specific feedback on composition, exposure, focal length and the frame you are building. With only four participants, instruction can respond to your experience, questions and the conditions in front of us.

Northern Range & Beartooth
A $750 deposit reserves your place. The remaining $2,245 balance is due May 11, 2027. This tour is limited to four photographers and will operate with a minimum of two paid participants.

Know what to expect.
Will we photograph wildlife?
We will pursue safe wildlife-in-landscape opportunities when activity and access cooperate, but no species or sighting can be guaranteed.
Which exact locations are included?
The route remains flexible around permits, road access, weather and safe wildlife viewing so the group can work the strongest available conditions.
How demanding is the workshop?
Expect early starts, long drives, high elevation, uneven ground and short approaches rather than sustained backpacking.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 60 days before the workshop, your deposit may be transferred once to another 2BPhotographyMN tour taking place within 18 months. Within 60 days, all payments are nonrefundable. If 2BPhotographyMN cancels or the two-participant minimum is not reached, all payments are refunded.
